Licensed wedding officiant package
$300
For ceremonies in the Nevada County area. A travel fee applies more than 20 miles from Grass Valley.
What's included
- Licensed minister. I am familiar with California state law and the marriage licensing process, and I will help you get legally joined.
- Personalized marriage ceremony. I will work with you to create the ceremony you desire. We can do this through email or chat on the phone. The bottom line: I am so honored to be a part of your ceremony, so I will work hard to make it happy and memorable for you both.
- Religious or non-religious. A religious ceremony includes scripture, mention of God and a dedication prayer. A non-religious ceremony has no mention of God and a heartfelt, secular dedication before the kiss.
- Beautiful keepsake Married in California certificate. I also include a transcript of what is said during the actual ceremony, so you can keep it in your wedding album.
- Marriage license processing after the ceremony.
- Complimentary pre-wedding consultation if desired. We can chat on the phone or even meet in person.
- Travel. No extra fees for ceremonies within 20 miles of Grass Valley. A travel fee is added beyond that.

A Hawaiian touch
I was a licensed wedding officiant in Hawaii for 25 years. I can add a lei ceremony or a unity sand ceremony to give your wedding that island feel and cultural touch. You'll provide your own lei and sand supplies, and I will help guide you to find these items.
With a professional background in music for over 30 years, I can even play the ukulele and sing favorites such as "The Hawaiian Wedding Song" to make your ceremony a one-of-a-kind experience.

- Rehearsal attendance: $100 for local weddings. For weddings farther away, ask for a quote.

Getting your marriage license
Here's how a California public marriage license works.
- You both apply in person at a county clerk's office. Any California county works, including the Nevada County Clerk-Recorder in Nevada City.
- Your license is good for 90 days, so get married within 90 days of picking it up.
- A public license needs at least one witness at your ceremony.
- After the ceremony, I sign the license and return it to the county for you.
